what will i learn in 4 weeks?
Our 4-week courses offer a focused introduction to wheel throwing and are designed for beginners.
Beginner Wheel Throwing is designed for students with little to no pottery experience. Over four weeks, students will learn the entire process step by step, including wedging clay, centering, pulling walls, shaping forms, trimming, and glazing.
How Does the Class Work?
Each class meets once a week for 2 hours of instruction, followed by 30 minutes of cleanup time.
This is a general course outline. The schedule may vary slightly depending on the instructor and the pace of the class.

What's Included?
We provide all the materials you'll need, including clay, tools, glazes, and firing—just bring yourself!
If you already have your own pottery tools, you're welcome to bring and use them.
We do provide aprons, but pottery can still get a little messy, so we recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
what if i miss a class?
Each student may attend one Makeup Day within 8 weeks from their first class. To be eligible, you must submit the form below at least 24 hours before your missed class.
Because pottery is a multi-step process, missing a regular class may result in your work not being completed, even if you attend a Makeup Day.
Makeup Days provide additional time to continue your work with guidance from an instructor, but may differ from the regular class you missed.
